Scientific Activity:

  • Author of around 300 papers on international Journals or in  edited volumes on Molecular Modelling, Computer Simulations (Monte Carlo and Molecular Dynamics), Spectroscopic (Fluorescence, ESR, NMR) investigations of Liquid Crystals, Polymers,  Membranes, Proteins and other  Soft Materials in the bulk or nanoconfined (over 10000 citations, Hirsch  index H=46 (ISI-WoS), H=53 (Google Scholar).).
  • Co-editor of  3 books (Kluwer)
  • Supervising Activity: 
  •  over 46 “Tesi di Laurea” (1 year master-like thesis) completed, 
  •  20 PhD thesis completed.
  •  Has supervised over 25 international predoctoral and 30 postdoctoral fellows (from BE, BR, DE, FI, FR, GR, IN, IR, IT, JP, LT, NL, SE, SI, TR, UK).
  • Has given over 300 invited talks in a number of Universities and International Laboratories and has been Invited or Plenary Lecturer at many International meeting in Europe, Brasil, Canada, Korea,  Japan, US.
