Short Bio

Clara Latorraca is a PhD candidate (41st cycle) at the University of Bologna, enrolled in the doctoral program in Arts, History, and Society. Under the supervision of Professor Marco Milani, her research explores antifeminist digital spaces in South Korea and the processes of masculinity construction within them, adopting an approach that combines media studies, gender studies, and sociocultural analysis of the contemporary.


After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Human Sciences for Communication from the University of Milan, she graduated with honors in 2024 with a Master’s degree in Information, Culture, and Media Organization from the University of Bologna. Alongside her academic path, she has gained experience in journalism and cultural communication, and collaborates with the Asia Institute at the University of Bologna.


Her work lies at the intersection of academic research and critical observation of global media phenomena, with particular attention to gender dynamics and Asian digital cultures.
