Short Bio

I graduated in Physics of the Earth System at the University of Bologna in October 2023, with a thesis on the non stationarity of the Atlantic multidecadal variability and underlying mechanisms. Now, I am a PhD candidate for the 39th Cycle of the programme Future Earth, Climate Change and Societal Challenges, with a position funded by the Institute for Atmospheric and Climate Sciences ISAC-CNR in Bologna, on energy balance, radiation and climate feedbacks in Earth System models.
My research interests mainly involve climate dynamics and interactions between the atmosphere and the ocean, studied through numerical modeling.

During the past years, the main focus of my research has been on the effects of ocean circulation changes under CO2 forcing with GCMs, looking at AMOC and its influence on ocean heat uptake (preprint).

My current work focuses, instead, on the connection between ocean heat uptake efficiency and climate feedbacks, looking more broadly at the ocean processes that control stratification and influence ocean heat uptake, warming patterns and clouds.
