Short Bio

Chiara Montalti is a Post-Doc research fellow in Moral Philosophy, with a research project called Cripistemology: the disabled experience in the cultural fabric (supervisor: Prof. Roberto Brigati).


From March 2023 to February 2024, she was Post-Doc research fellow in Moral Philosophy at the University of Salento, working within the Horizon 2020 AInCP project.

She received her PhD in 2022 from the Universities of Florence and Pisa, with a dissertation in Moral Philosophy entitled Cyborg perspectives on disability: Relations with otherness, politics and cultural futures.

Between 2021 and 2023 she collaborated with the Istituto Italiano per gli Studi Filosofici, both within the multimedia project "Maps. A World of Words" and concerning the communication of their activities.
She holds a Master's Degree in Philosophical Sciences (2017) and a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy (2015) from the University of Bologna.

Her main research interests are represented by Disability studies, especially in their cultural declination, and she also aims to intersect them with feminist theory, gender studies, posthuman knowledge, queer theory.
