Research activity is focused on canine and feline cardiology, with particular interest in the pathophysiology, diagnosis, and therapeutic management of cardiovascular diseases in small animals. Recent research activities have focused on the evaluation of echocardiographic and electrocardiographic parameters in the main cardiac diseases of dogs and cats, the identification of prognostic factors associated with cardiovascular disorders, the assessment of the efficacy and safety of drugs used in the management of cardiopathies and arrhythmias, as well as the clinical management of hospitalized patients with congestive heart failure and other acute cardiovascular conditions.
