Cecilia Crippa is a PhD Student enrolled in the UNIBO PhD programme since November 2019 (XXXV° Cycle of Food Science and Biotechnology within Agricultural, Environmental and Food Science and Technology).
She is currently working on food safety and microbial genomics, enthusiastic and passionate in studying genetic traits of interest regarding foodborne pathogens and related infections by combining phenotypic and genomic analyses with advanced bioinformatics tools for data processing, analysis and interpretation. Her PhD project is focused on the application of Next Generation Sequencing technologies to characterize the microbial hazard of foodborne pathogens collected from fermented productions of animal origin realized in artisanal small-scale plants. She is actively involved in European research projects such as Artisanefood and DAMR.
