Short Bio

Psychologist and researcher in developmental psychology, she is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of Education and Intervention for Language and Communication Disorders at the University of Würzburg (Germany). She maintains scientific collaborations and teaching activities at the University of Bologna, where she is an adjunct lecturer in the Master’s Degree Programme in Primary Teacher Education. She obtained a double degree PhD in Psychology and Human Sciences through a cotutelle agreement between the University of Bologna and the University of Würzburg (Germany), conducting research on the development of communicative-linguistic skills in preterm and full-term children with and without language delay. Her research interests focus on early language acquisition, with a particular focus on role of gestures and parent-child interactional patterns during the first three years of life. She is currently involved in a research project aimed at identifying early markers of language delay and developmental language disorders.
