Short Bio

Carlo Teo Pedretti is a doctoral candidate in the 38th cycle of the National Doctorate in Heritage Science at La Sapienza University of Rome. His research interests are mainly in knowledge modeling of hermeneutic processes and uncertain information in the context of cultural heritage and methodologies for critical visualization of semantic data from the perspective of visual studies. He holds a master's degree in Philosophical Sciences (LM-47) from the Department of Philosophy and Communication at the University of Bologna and, subsequently, in Digital Humanities and Digital Knowledge (LM-43) from the Department of Classical Philology and Italianistics at the same university. In 2021, as part of a mentorship grant, he developed the digital exhibition De Rerum Natura Online on the reception of Lucretian De Rerum Natura in contemporary arts.
