Marie Skłodowska-Curie Researcher for the VAMP project at the University of Bologna since 2023, I conduct my research in the field of the semiotics of controversies. My research interests focus in particular on ecological controversies as an interpretive key to the Anthropocene, on memory and the formation of collective identities, and on semiotic theory and epistemology. I am currently especially interested in the processes of inclusion and exclusion of non-humans in political debate, in the contestation of large infrastructural projects, and in extractivist interpretations of the environment.

Une analyse sémiotique des textes onusiens. In 2022, I earned a second PhD in Cultural Heritage from the University of Palermo, with a thesis entitled Critica dell’antimafia. Retoriche, narrazioni, valori (“Critique of Anti-Mafia Discourse: Rhetorics, Narratives, Values”).
