Carlo Rossi was born in Fabriano, Italy, on January 3rd, 1964.
He received the Dr. Ing. degree in electronic engineering and the
Ph.D. degree in system science and engineering from the University
of Bologna, Italy, in 1989 and 1993, respectively.
In 1989, he joined the Department of Electronics, Computer, and
System Science (DEIS) of the University of Bologna. From 1994 to
2001 he was with Magenti Marelli Powertrain, where he was the
responsible of the Control Design and System Analysis groups. From
2001 he is Associate Professor of Automatic Control at the
University of Bologna. His research interests include electric
motor drives, nonlinear control, internal combustion engines and
vehicle powertrain modeling and control. He is the author of more
than 50 technical papers. In 1994 he received the Best Paper Award
from the IEEE Transaction on Industrial Electronics.
