Beatrice Sartori is a PhD candidate in Arts, History, and Society at the University of Bologna, conducting research on the body and technology, avatars, and virtual identities, with a particular focus on the intersections between post-internet and posthuman contemporary art practices. She was a visiting researcher at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). From 2022 to 2024, she worked as a practice-based researcher at Studio Riccardo Benassi, where she supervised the artist’s book Daily Dense Dance Desire (DDD), published by Distanz in 2023. In 2021, she co-founded the graduate student workshop AVEC (Art, Visuality and Electronic Culture) and served as managing editor of the volume AVEC. Seamless. Art, Visuality and Electronic Culture in the Post-Pandemic Era (NERO, 2025), edited by Francesco Spampinato.
