Beatrice Balzola is a Ph.D. Candidate of the Law, Science and Technology program (LAST-JD) under the supervision of Prof. Massimo Durante. Her research project "The Meaning of Being Underage in the Digital Era" tackles the consequences of the online presence of minors in the digital environment.
Beatrice holds a Master’s Degree in Law from the University of Turin, where she graduated with a thesis, supervised by Prof. Ugo Pagallo, titled “The legal regulation of social media and political activities online: problems and perspectives”. After obtaining her degree, she won an internship position at the Nexa Center for Internet & Society of the Polytechnic of Turin and a research scholarship at the University of Turin for the project "Digital Platforms and Automated Filtering of Content: Legal and Constitutional Outlines” under the supervision of Prof. Maurizio Borghi.
