Full professor of Physiology at the Department of Pharmacy and Biotechnology and member of the PhD Committee in Cellular and Molecular Biology, her research activity mainly focuses on cellular, molecular and epigenetic mechanisms of neuron-glia interactions in CNS physiology, as well as on their alterations in neurodegenerative, neuroinflammatory and neurodevelopmental disorders, in order to identify new potential therapeutic targets. Involved in several research projects, she is author of several publications in peer-reviewed journals. Since January 2024, she is Head of the Department of Pharmacy and Biotechnology.
