Full professor of Physiology at the Department of Pharmacy and Biotechnology and member of the PhD Committee in Cellular and Molecular Biology, her research activity mainly focuses on cellular, molecular and epigenetic mechanisms of neuron-glia interactions in CNS physiology, as well as on their alterations in neurodegenerative, neuroinflammatory and neurodevelopmental disorders, in order to identify new potential therapeutic targets. Involved in several research projects, she is author of several publications in peer-reviewed journals. Since November 2021 she is Delegate of the Pro-Rector for Research for Research Equipment and Infrastructures and, since January 2022, she chairs the University Equipment Commission.
