Curriculum vitae

I attained a MA in Italian Studies, European Literary Cultures and Linguistics at the University of Bologna, where I developed a strong interest in the intersection between language and technology. After my degree, I started a career in the applied Natural language Processing industry. I worked as a Computational Linguist, Project Manager and Solutions Consultant at a leading company in Artificial Intelligence. In this role, I coordinated the successful delivery of AI solutions to enable large insurance, banking, and media organisations to automate language-intensive processes. I am a PhD student at the University of Bologna, enrolled in the Computer Science and Engineering program, collaborating with the Polifonia H2020 Project. My project, supervised by Prof. Valentina Presutti, focuses on automatically generating knowledge graphs from unstructured texts for advanced question answering. My research concerns the study of methods and the implementation of neuro-symbolic systems for annotating multilingual and diachronic texts, which I will probe and evaluate on a corpus built on the use case in the domain of musical heritage. The goal is to construct a knowledge graph based on semantic web knowledge representation languages (RDF / OWL) and the alignment to domain ontologies to allow their query.
