Curriculum vitae

Antonio Masetti received a master degree in Biological Science at University of Bologna (Italy) on March 10, 2000 and got the PhD in Agricultural Entomology on 31 May 2005.

He is author of 40 scientific publications, mostly on international peer reviewed journals with impact factor, in the fields of biological control, insect biodiversity, agroecology, monitoring and sampling of insects, insect modelling, biology and ecology of beneficial insects, evaluation of pesticide effects on target pest and natural enemies, and molecular tools for biosystematics and diagnostics of insects. Antonio Masetti is member of the Editorial Board of the international scientific journal Bulletin of Insectology and he has been reviewer for the several international scientific journals including Agriculture Ecosystems & Environment, Biological Control, Enviromental Entomology, Journal of Economic Entomology, Journal of Pest Science and Scientific Report.

In 2010-2013, Antonio Masetti held the tutoring for support and assistance to teaching of the course of Parasitology (MSc in Biology of Health) and of the course of Zoology (MSc of Science in Technology for the Conservation and Restoration). In 2017-2018 he was adjunct professor teaching Grape Entomology (MSc in Viticulture and Enology).

As member of the group of Entomology of the Department of Agricultural Science at University of Bologna, Antonio Masetti has been involved in the following EC projects:

Moreover, Antonio Masetti participated to several national projects funded by Emilia-Romagna region and CRPV.
