Antonio D’Anna is a PhD candidate at the University of Bologna within the EIT4STEMM doctoral programme and is affiliated with the Department of Civil, Chemical, Environmental and Materials Engineering (DICAM).
Antonio holds a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering obtained through a double degree program between the Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna and the University of Liège, with a specialization in Structural Analysis and Assessment.
Antonio’s research focuses on the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, Structural Health Monitoring (SHM), and Digital Twin technologies. The work explores new methodologies for structural performance assessment, infrastructure asset management, and resilience improvement of civil infrastructure systems.
Adopting an interdisciplinary approach that combines structural engineering, computational modelling, and data science, the research aims to develop digital frameworks that improve the safety, efficiency, and long-term sustainability of the built environment.
