Short Bio

is an adjunct lecturer at the University of Bologna, has collaborated with the Universities of Siena, Cardiff, Swansea and Lancaster and has a wide experience in the area of corpus linguistics and corpus-assisted discourse studies. Her research interests include corpus-assisted research methods, news discourse and journalism studies. Recently she has published Self-reflexive Journalism: A Corpus Study of Journalistic Culture and Community in the Guardian (Routledge 2019) and co-edited (with Charlotte Taylor) Corpus Approaches to Discourse: A Critical Review (Routledge 2018). She studied journalism at the University of Siena and University of Texas and has a PhD in Linguistics (University of Lancaster).
