Anna G. Chisena works as a postdoctoral research fellow on the 'Books of Science: Vernacular Mathematics and Medicine Books in Fourteenth-Century Italy' (PRIN 2022). I worked at the PRIN2017 Hypermedia Dante network project (from 2020 to 2023) and at PRIN 2020 ‘The Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed and its Translations’ (2023-2024). I was a Post-doc Researcher (2018-2020) and then Associate Fellow (2020-2024) at the L. Boltzmann Institute for Neo-Latin Studies in Innsbruck. I was a F. Yates Short Term Fellow at the Warburg Institute in London (2016) and a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Herzog August Bibliothek in Wölfenbüttel (2018). I have published the first critical edition of Basinio da Parma’s Astronomicon libri, complete with translation and commentary (Florence, SISMEL, 2024), as well as the book Le prime stelle di Dante: astronomia e astrologia tra Vita Nova e Convivio (Ravenna, Longo, 2024). The latter was awarded the “Pastore Stocchi” Prize for the best critical work of 2023–24. I was awarded the “Pier delle Vigne” Prize for my research in Medieval Studies by the University of Pisa and the Comune of Pontremoli (2025).
