I am an Associate Professor at the University of Bologna since 2026, following a research career consolidated at three of the world's leading particle physics laboratories. I completed my Ph.D. in Physics at the University of Pisa in 2011, during which I benefited from an International Fellowship at Fermilab. I then held a postdoc appointment at the University of Heidelberg, before joining CERN from 2014 to 2019, initially as a Research Fellow and then as Research Staff. I subsequently continued my career at Brookhaven National Laboratory, where I rose the ranks to reach the position of Senior Scientist. My research focuses on precision measurements of charm and beauty hadron decays, used as probes to explore physics beyond the Standard Model. I have contributed to this field through my work on the CDF, LHCb, and Belle II experiments. Beyond my research, I have taken on leadership roles within these collaborations, supervised numerous postdocs and Ph.D. students, and remain dedicated to advancing precision measurements in heavy-flavor physics.
