Angela Santese

Angela Santese is a Senior Assistant Professor at the Department of Political Science at the University of Bologna. She teaches History of US Foreign Policy and International History. In 2012 she was junior visiting scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center of Washington, DC. She won the SISSCO Prize awarded by Italian Society for the Study of Contemporary History for the best 2016 research monograph. In 2017 she won the Postgraduate Vibeke Sorensen Grant from the Historical Archives of the European Union. Her research interests deal with U.S. foreign policy, Cold War history and the history of antinuclear and environmental movements. Member of various Italian academic associations (SISSCO, SISI, AISNA), she is a member of the editorial team of "Ricerca di Storia Politica" and co-editor in chief of the USAbroad magazine.
