Andrea Picin

Associate Professor, he conducts his research in the field of Palaeolithic archaeology. He co-directs archaeological excavations in Spain and Poland, and collaborates on research projects concerning the Middle Palaeolithic of the Iberian Peninsula and the Pannonian Basin. His work focuses on the lithic technologies of hunter-gatherer groups from the Middle Pleistocene to the Holocene, combining archaeological and palaeogenetic data to reconstruct the dynamics of the repopulation of Central Europe from glacial refugia.
