Andrea Mensi

Short Bio

Andrea Mensi is a research fellow in public international law at the University of Bologna, Law department.

He is also an attorney practicing before the European Court of Human Rights and he is admitted to practice before the African Court of Human and Peoples' Rights.

He has a Ph.D. in international economic law from Bocconi University in Milan and a master degree in law at the Catholic University in Milan. 

He is the author of a book entitled "Indigenous peoples, natural resources and permanent sovereignty" (Brill Nijhoff, Queen Mary Studies of International Law Series, 2022).

He is one of the co-founders of the Western Sahara Research Group project.

He has been adjunct professor of international environmental law at the University of Milan and lecturer and postdoc researcher at the University of Lugano, Switzerland, as well as teaching assistant in international and EU law at the Universities Catholic, Bocconi and Insubria.
