Profile
Andrea is a computer science research fellow working on IoT systems for cyber-physical environments, with a particular focus on sensing, orchestration, and interoperability. His research experience includes the design and development of data acquisition, processing, and visualization solutions for precision agriculture scenarios. His current work explores the convergence of Edge AI and IoT to support intelligent and interoperable cyber-physical systems.

Research Projects
Andrea participates in the TRACE project, which investigates innovation and traceability in smart agriculture through the use of IoT sensors, weather stations, AI-based data analysis, and LoRaWAN-enabled long-range communications.
Academic Service
Andrea has served as Technical Program Committee Chair for the IEEE IoTime Workshop 2026.
Teaching Activities
In the academic year 2025/2026, Andrea has been involved in tutoring activities for Bachelor’s courses at the University of Bologna, including Operating Systems, Laboratory of Making and Mobile Applications Laboratory.
