Andrea Guidi

Andrea Guidi was a long-time member of the editorial team of the Edizione Nazionale delle Opere di Niccolò Machiavelli. Primarily a scholar of the history of political thought, Dr Guidi’s research interests include military history, the history of ideas and early modern cultural history. He has published monographs, peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on Machiavelli’s biography and writings with a special emphasis on his work in the Florentine chancery. Further publications are dedicated to the history of Italian archives. He has conducted research with the support of various international institutions, such as Villa I Tatti and the Princeton Institute for Advanced Study
