He conducts his research in the field of oral medicine, pathology and oral oncology. His research interests focus particularly on the identification of novel biomarkers for the early detection of oral cancer and on the treatment of autoimmune blistering diseases affecting the oral cavity.

2010: Doctor in Denta Sciences DDS, University of Bologna. Thesis entitled “Histological and immunohistochemical evaluation in patients with potentially malignant oral lesions presenting with different clinical features”, under the supervision of Prof. Lucio Montebugnoli.
2013: Second-level Master’s Degree MSc in “Dentistry with Advanced Technologies”, University of Bologna. Supervisor: Prof. Giovanni Dondi Dall’Orologio.
2019: PhD in “Oncology, Hematology and Pathology”, 31st cycle, University of Bologna. PhD thesis entitled “Genetic profiles of field cancerization and intratumoral heterogeneity in oral squamous cell carcinoma.”
2020–present: Research Fellow at DIBINEM (Department of Biomedical and Neuromotor Sciences), University of Bologna.
Teaching Activities
2018: Teaching Tutor for the Degree Programme in Dentistry , University of Bologna (Clinica Odontostoamtologica 2).
2018–present: Adjunct Lecturer for the Degree Programme in Dental Hygiene, serving as Teaching Tutor for Tirocinio 1, Tutor didattico in Tirocinio 3, Tecniche di igiene orale nei pazienti con particolari necessita', Tecniche di Semeiotica e Monitoraggio del Cavo Orale.
