The research topics deal with the efficient use of biomass for the production of materials, chemical products and biofuels from a circular economy perspective, the production of hydrogen and energy carriers and the conversion of renewable energy and the capture and transformation of CO2 . The research and development activity is conducted in close contact with industry using industrial chemistry approaches with particular reference to process development, the application of catalysts and the study of catalytic processes, the development of chemical technologies and materials for energy and the development of solutions to reduce environmental impact.
The research is realized with a research contract cofinanced by the EU - PON Ricerca e Innovazione 2014-2020 ai sensi dell’art. 24, comma 3, lett. a), della Legge 30 dicembre 2010, n. 240 e s.m.i. e del D.M. 10 agosto 2021 n. 1062
