Andrea Fanfoni (1988) has held a PhD in Architectural and Urban Design since 2023 at the University of Parma. Trained between Parma and Porto (PT), he graduated with honors in 2014 and later moved to Barcelona, where he collaborated with MBM Arquitectes and the firm F2M arquitectura. Since 2019, in addition to conducting independent design work, he has been a member of the Smart City 4.0 Sustainable Lab, through which he has taken part in numerous research projects on urban regeneration, social housing in the Iberian context, and the defining features of contemporary Spanish and Portuguese architecture. In 2022, he contributed to the study that led to the drafting of the Guidelines for Urban Regeneration in Italy prepared for SNA (National School of Administration), and in 2024 to the research for the development of Guidelines for a new National Housing Plan in Italy. Since 2025, he has been curator of the international research project
