He is Adjunct Professor of Environmental Law in the Degree Programme in Environmental Sciences at the Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna, Ravenna Campus.
He graduated in Law from Sapienza University (110/110 cum laude, with academic distinction) and holds a LL.M. from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. He obtained his PhD at Sapienza under the supervision of Prof. Enrico del Prato, with a dissertation on collective property and the legal personality of groups (with distinction). In 2025-2026 he was a postdoc at the Humboldt-Universität , with a project on the normative scope of the principle of solidarity in the energy market. He is a member of the Research Laboratory of SPISA and he serves on the editorial boards of the Rivista italiana per le scienze giuridiche and federalismi.it.
His research concerns the legal status of natural resources and the institutions of the ecological transition: collective property and the commons, renewable energy communities, the shaping of property to public purposes, and the protection of future generations. He is the author of the monograph Le proprietà collettive sostenibili (Giappichelli, 2026).
