Ana Beaven holds a BA(Hons) Degree in French and Italian in
the School of European Studies (University of Sussex, UK) and an
MPhil.
In 2012 she obtained a PhD in Applied Linguistics from the
University of Warwick (UK) with the thesis: "An Exploration of
Cross-Cultural Adaptation in the Context of European Student
Mobility"
She has an RSA Diploma in TEFLA (Teaching English as a
Foreign Language to Adults) and has been teaching English
at CILTA (now CLA) since 1992.
She had taken part in various European projects, such as WebCEF (Web-based collaborative assessment of oral language skills based on the CEF), CEFcult (Web-based Tool for the Assessment of Oral
Language Skills and Intercultural Competence), RICH-Ed (Resources for Interculturality in Chinese Higher Education), GCMC (Global Citizenship and Multilingual Competences), e FRAMES (Fostering resilience through Accredited Mobility for European Sustainable Higher Education Innovation). She was also the Coodinator
of the IEREST project (Intercultural Education Resources for
Erasmus Students and their Teachers). She is part of the Management Committee of IALIC.
She has trained as a dialogue facilitator with Soliya. She took part in the Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange initiative as a member of UNICollaboration and is trainer and facilitator in virtual exchange projects.
