Academic career

I studied at the Faculty of Law, Ankara University between 2013 and 2017. During my graduation, I worked as a research assistant at the Turkish National Parliament. I obtained a master's degree from the Advanced Masters Programme in Law and Digital Technologies at Leiden University. After working as a guest lecturer for one semester and as a researcher for  Decentralised Autonomous Organisations in Turkey, I became a researcher in the interdisciplinary field of Law, Science and Technology at the Faculty of Law, University of Bologna, with a funding from the European Union (Marie Skłodowska- Curie ITN EJD grant agreement No 814177).

The Grand National Assembly of Turkey: Researcher (May 2016 - October 2017)

Marmara University (Istanbul): Research Assistant Istanbul Technical University: Guest Lecturer (I helped Prof. Berk Ustundag in his lecture on "Legal Challenges of the Latest Technological Developments" for PhD students of the University's Department of Computer Science). (2021)

Family DAO: Member of the research team. This is a private DAO founded for educational purposes and consisting of 4000 cryptocurrency investors. (I was accepted into this role along with 30 other research members out of 3000 applicants). It is now Layka DAO. (2021-2022)

University of Bologna: PhD student at the International Doctorate in Law, Science and Technology run within the Department of Legal Sciences at the University of Bologna with an MSCA-ITN grant from the European Commission (Marie Skłodowska- Curie ITN EJD grant agreement No 814177). Research topic: Distributed ledger technologies beyond financial applications: eDemocracy and new forms of governance. (2022-)
