PhD candidate (2023-present) supervised by Alice Bencivenni (Bologna), Jonathan Prag (Oxford) and Christian Witschel (Heidelberg). He is interested in (digital) epigraphy, and contributes to in the I.Sicily project, the digital database of Ancient Sicily's inscriptions.
His PhD dissertation focuses on the long-term evolution of Roman imperialism, with special focus on provincial communities, through the case study of Sicily from the First Punic War to the third century AD. He is also interested in the role of Italians overseas and the political economy of the Italian diaspora in the Mediterranean under the Roman Republic.
