Alex Barrales-Araneda is a PhD student at the Department of Electrical, Electronic, and Information Engineering (DEI), University of Bologna. His research focuses on the optimization of sustainable public transportation, with a particular focus on vehicle routing and planning problems. He holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, as well as the professional qualifications of Industrial Engineer and Bachelor of Engineering Sciences, from the University of Bío-Bío. He has also collaborated on FONDEF-funded research projects in pattern recognition, crime pattern analysis, and optimization for security and logistics applications.
