  • June–August 2004 – Research contract at INAF – Bologna Astronomical Observatory for the project "Automatic procedures for planning multi-fiber spectroscopic observations of the Magellanic Clouds".
  • 2008–2009 – Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Astronomy, University of Bologna, working on the project "Chemical Evolution of the Large Magellanic Cloud Globular Clusters".
  • 2009–2010 – Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Astronomy, University of Bologna, working on the project "Understanding the Formation Process of Blue Stragglers in Star Clusters".
  • 2010–2011 – Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Astronomy, University of Bologna, working on the project "Photometric and Spectroscopic Study of the Two Stellar Populations in Terzan 5".
  • 2012–2015 – Assistant Professor (fixed-term, Type A) at the Department of Astronomy, University of Bologna, within the COSMIC-LAB project funded by the European Research Council Executive Agency through an FP7 Advanced Grant.

  • Lecturer in the second-level Master's programme SPICES (Space Missions Science, Design and Applications) at the University of Bologna (Academic Year 2020–21 to present).
  • Coordinator and lecturer for the outreach programme "Measuring the Universe: Planets, Stars and Galaxies", organized within the University of Bologna's National Scientific Degree Programme to promote STEM subjects among high-school students (Academic Year 2021–22 to present).
Scientific Activities
  • Leader of the "Milky Way Satellites" Work Package within the Guaranteed Time Observation (GTO) programme for the MOONS spectrograph at the Very Large Telescope (VLT).
  • Member of the Science Team defining the stellar-population science cases for the WST, ANDES@ELT, and MOONS@VLT projects.
  • Principal Investigator of the PRIN 2022 project "LEGO: Reconstructing the Building Blocks of the Galaxy by Chemical Tagging", funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR).
  • Responsible for the computation of stellar atmosphere models for the BaSTI project.
