Short Bio

PhD in Geotechnical Engineering at the University of Bologna in 2015, since 2021 he is Senior Assistant Professor at the DICAM Department of the University of Bologna. Alessio is Individual Fellow for the SEAFLOWER project granted by the European Commission within the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA-IF-2019). His research activity is now focused on the study of foundation systems for floating offshore wind turbines, but his research interests also concern the analysis of protection measures against rockfall risk.

As part of the research projects in which he has been involved, he collaborates with different research groups in Europe and Australia.
