Development and application of analytical methods based on analytical pyrolysis, chromatography and mass spectrometry for the characterization of organic compounds in samples of historical, artistic and archaeological interest.

Biochar and biochar-treated soils: development of analytical methods for the characterization of biochar and biochar-treated soils using conventional and innovative techniques.

Analytical pyrolysis (Py-GC-MS): development of analytical pyrolysis methodologies for the characterization of synthetic polymers, biopolymers, natural organic matter, complex mixtures.

Environmental pollutants: development and optimization of analytical protocols for the determination of pollutants in environmental matrices.

Development of analytical microextraction techniques for the qualitative and quantitative determination of organic compounds in samples of environmental, agri-food, historical, artistic and archaeological interest.
