Current position

PhD student in Aerospace Science and Technology (37th cycle) at the University of Bologna, Department of Industrial Engineering.

Research topic: “autonomous navigation of satellites for proximity and docking operations”.

Chair for Social Media at WACE 2024 - IFAC Workshop on Aerospace Control Education.

Previous positions at the University of Bologna

  • October 2021 – September 2022: teaching tutor of Calculus and Linear Algebra, Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Economics and Finance.
  • February – October 2021: graduate research fellow at CIRI Aerospace on the topic “artificial intelligence techniques for satellite pose estimation from images”, in collaboration with Thales Alenia Space Italy.

  • December 2018 – October 2019: degree programme tutor for the Bachelor and Master’s Degree courses in Aerospace Engineering.

Member of the 1st classified team at #TeC 2021, the Open Innovation competition promoted by Leonardo and Telespazio with the proposal “Multi-Purpose Modular Satellite Servicer”: concept for an innovative microsatellite platform providing In Orbit Servicing.

  • November 2020 – Study award (€ 1,500 prize)

Recipient of a study award by the Department of Industrial Engineering in recognition of exceptional academic achievement despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic during the second semester of the 2019/2020 academic year.

  • May 2017 – AlmaContest (€ 2,750 prize)

Member of the 1st classified team at “AlmaContest 2017” promoted by the University of Bologna, for the category “development of prototypes”, with the proposal “AlmaOrienteering”: an Android application to promote counselling of future students and to ease the search for information about courses, structures, and services.
