Alessandro Freddi

He was teacher of "Experimental stress analysis" and "Principles and methodologies of mechanical design" at our School until 2010.
He wrote two books for Springer : Experimental Stress Analysis for Materials and structures with Giorgio Olmi and Luca Cristofolini and a second book on "Design Principles and Methodologies-From Conceptualization to First Prototyping with Examples and Case Studies" with Mario Salmon
He alternates periods of study at the University of Cambridge (UK) - where he is a Life Member of Clare Hall  and  in Berlin at the BAM (Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und Prüfung) research institute.
He also follows the research promoted by the Danubia Adria Scientific Association.
He is Professor Emeritus of the University of Bologna, Benedictine Academician and Honorary Professor of the Technical University of Wroclaw (Poland).
He currently deals with the basics of solid mechanics, with particular attention to the complex representation of the theory of plane elasticity. Go to the Curriculum vitae
