PROFESSIONAL CURRICULUM

From November 2001 to November 2007 he was resident in General Surgery at the Department of Surgery and Transplantation of the University of Bologna; during that period he was trained in General Surgery and took part to the hepato-biliary surgery, liver, kidney and multi-visceral transplantation activity.

From November 2005 to November 2007 he was also resident at the Emergency Surgery Unit of the S.Orsola Hospital, Bologna, Italy. Dr Cucchetti has a good experience in general surgery procedures and a wide experience in hepatobiliary surgery resulting in more than 600 procedures. He personally performed hepatic resections, liver and kidney transplantation, emergency surgery and liver and multi-organ procurement procedures, employing all the known surgical techniques. He has large experience in the clinical management of patients submitted to hepatic surgery both in the cirrhotic livers and non-cirrhotic ones.
