Coming from a scientific education (degree in Physics), after many years of activity as head of the technical area, he developed a passion for the themes of Design and innovation, following a Master's degree obtained at the Bologna Business School. Since 2019 he has been responsible for the Advanced Design & Open Innovation unit set up in the company in order to promote the innovation of products and services according to the Design Thinking and Open Innovation approach.
Since 2016 he has been collaborating with the Faculty of Industrial Product Design of the University of Bologna (Prof. Flaviano Celaschi). The first system-product object of the joint activity has obtained numerous awards such as the Red Dot Award and the Archiproduct Design Award. For research projects in a strictly technical field, he collaborates with the Department of Energy Engineering (UniBo - Prof. Gianluca Morini).
