Since 1990 he has been director of research in energy and environment, providing advice to primary Italian and European energy companies, as well as to institutions.
The main research areas are: Italian and international natural gas and electricity; environmental markets; Territorial energy planning; policies and markets of energy-saving; social costs of energy use; finance for renewable energy.
He has been a consultant to the Minister of Industry; coordinator of assistance activities to the Ministry of Environment.
Lecturer at the University of Bologna, Milan Polytechnic, Polytechnic of Bari.
Responsible for training activities in the energy field.
