Alessandra Russo received her PhD in Institutions and Policies (XXXVII Cohort) at the Department of Political Science at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC) in Milan. Her research focuses on emerging technologies in international security, with a particular focus to the military applications of Artificial Intelligence. She examines how military AI-enabled systems affect tactical and operational dynamics and decision-making. Her work also explores broader security dynamics and how different states’ governance and policy responses relate to the development and deployment of military AI systems.
