Artistic director of Fondazione Forma per la Fotografia, Milan, and editorial director of Contrasto publishing house, Rome, Alessandra Mauro has curated and realized many photographic, exhibition and editorial projects.
She was responsible (2000-2003) for the photographic exhibitions at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome.
A former professor of Theory and History of Photography at the Suor Orsola Benincasa University in Naples, lecturer in Photography at the DAMS of Roma 3 University, she is now lecturer in Photography and Photojournalism at the LUISS School of Journalism, History of Photography at the RUFA in Rome and Places and Exhibition Events at the Mercatorum University.
She has created the podcasts "Una foto, una storia" (Storie Libere and Contrasto, 2023). She collaborates with RAI - Radio Tre (Wikiradio program) for the episodes dedicated to Photography and has collaborated with the Vatican Museums, Contemporary Art Collection, for the photographic collection.
