Alberto Forte is Adjunct Professor of Tourism Geography and Research Fellow at the University of Bologna (IT), and Visiting Professor at the Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences (ND).His experience spans a combination of both academic and work in the field with research based predominantly on aspects of tourism management and development specifically related to systems of government and governance challenges within a view over Sustainable Tourism Development and in the context of both MDCs and LDCs. Scholarly activities include teaching at HE level since 2008. His academic career started in 2004 at the University of Brighton (UK) with a PhD on the social geography of urban transformations with culture and the knowledge economy playing, alongside tourism, significant transformative roles. Since 2017 Alberto has operated predominantly in South-East Asia. He took on teaching and consultancy work in the area of development and strategic tourism planning within an International Development Cooperation programme.
