Professore associato all'Università di Bologna da Ottobre 2021, svolge le sue ricerche nell'ambito delle scienze del clima. Gli interessi di ricerca sono rivolti allo sviluppo teorico di metodi di assimilazione dati, usati per lo sviluppo di modelli di previsione, migliorare la previsione e studiare l'impatto antropico sul clima. Ricerca dall'altissimo carattere multi disciplinare, coinvolge esperti e conoscenze di matematica applicata, sistemi dinamici e teoria del caos cosi' come statistica e intelligenza artificiale.
Formazione
Laureato in Fisica presso l'Università di Ferrara nel 2001 [110/110] con una tesi sullo studio della predicibilta' locale dell'atmosfera attraverso l'uso della teoria di Lyapunov. Consegue il dottorato in Fisica presso la stessa Università nel 2005 [Ottimo], sotto la supervisione di Anna Trevisan, e studia l'uso degli indicatori di Lyapunov per lo sviluppo di metodi di assimilazione dati dal ridotto costo computazionale, l'assimilazione nello spazio instabile.
