Five-year degree in Mechanical Engineering, obtained on 23 October 2003 at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Bologna with 86 points out of 100.

Title of the thesis: 'Use in terrestrial traction of the permanent magnet synchronous motor'.

State examination for qualification as a professional engineer with points 110 out of 120 on 23 July 2004.

Registration on the Register of Engineers section A sector ABC n.6994/A of the province of Bologna in July 2005.

Summer school of parallel computing at CINECA lasting 15 days. 7-18 July 2008.
Specialised school of parallel computing at CINECA lasting 5 days. 6-10 October 2008.
Introduction to the C language for scientific programming lasting 2 days. 17-18 November 2008.
Collaboration with IASF-Bologna (research cheque) from June 2004 to September 2005 and from January 2007 to February 2011, mainly for mechanical design activities, component production and mechanical testing of scientific instrumentation for space missions.
Collaboration with the Department of Engineering of Mechanical, Nuclear, Aeronautical Constructions and Metallurgy of the University of Bologna, for activities related to the use of information systems in mechanical engineering, such as CAD-CAM systems, PLM (Product Life Management) software and finite element calculation codes. During this period, I collaborated on teaching related to the subjects of industrial technical drawing and machine design.

Excellent knowledge of linux systems (in particular RED HAT as head of the INAF IASF Bologna computer centre, an assignment I received thanks to my experience in computational mechanics) for implementing computing clusters, web servers, DNS, DHCP, NAT, backup servers (tivoli)
Excellent knowledge of distributed filesystems, in particular GPFS (used as filesystem for the INAF IASF Bologna calculation cluster for about 15 years)
