Adriana Contreras Osorio holds a degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage from the Complutense University of Madrid (2020/2021) and graduated cum laude with a Master's degree in Archaeological, Artistic and Landscape Heritage (LM-89) from the University of Bologna (2022/2023). Since 2022, she has been a member of the research team of the Diagnostic Laboratory for Cultural Heritage at the University of Bologna.
She is currently a PhD student in Cultural and Environmental Heritage. Her research project, entitled Integrated Study for the Identification of Glazes in Oil Painting: Characterisation of Painting Technique and Analysis of Material Properties, investigates the optical, rheological, and mechanical properties of glazes through the reconstruction and multi-integrated study of European historical recipes dating from the fifteenth to the seventeenth century. The project aims to establish a framework for identifying glazes in real case studies using non-invasive analytical techniques.
