Short Bio

Adam Selo is a director and producer born in Naples in 1979. He graduated from DAMS (Disciplines of Arts, Music, and Performing Arts) in Bologna. In 2004, he founded Elenfant Film, an independent production company, with which he has produced and directed films, commercials, and music videos. Currently, he is working on the pre-production of his first feature-length film, "Umarells."

Since 2016, he has been a manager at the production company Sayonara Film, alongside director Olga Torrico. Their short film "Gas Station" was awarded at the International Critics' Week of the 2020 Venice Film Festival. With Sayonara Film, they have not only distributed international short films globally but also initiated co-productions with Italian and international companies such as Il Monello Film, Dugong, Articolture, Fulldawa, Films Grand Huit, Les Cigognes, and APA.

As a contract lecturer or workshop facilitator, Adam Selo has collaborated with various institutions, including the ForMart Institute, IMICH University (Morelia, Mexico), Latin University of America (Morelia, Mexico), IDM Südtirol, Rossellini Institute (Rome), and the Academy of Fine Arts (Bologna).
