RESEARCH ACTIVITY
P.T., guest scientist in the Laboratory of Plant Physiology of Prof. Mark Stitt (University of Heidelberg; years 1992-1993), leads the Laboratory of Molecular Plant Physiology at the University of Bologna.
Main research interests are focussed and various aspects of molecular plant physiology, in particular:
(i) redox regulation of photosynthetic metabolism and formation of supramolecular complexes;
(ii) starch metabolism;
(iii) ascorbate and transmembrane electron transports;
(iv) thiol-based redox regulation.
PUBLICATIONS
More than 120 publications, including 95 papers on international peer reviewed journals and 10 book chapters.
