Biogerontology, with particolar interest in the
endocrine-metabolic features of longevity and brain aging. The
latter represents the main research filed of the last five years.
Studies have been developed in different fields concerning several
diagnostic and prognostic features of mild cognitive impairment,
dementia epidemiology in the elderly Italian population, and the
interactions among cognitive impairment, nutritional status,
inflammatory markers, and vascular risk factors/markers in the
elderly.
