2) Sustainable future of the mechanical industry for crop protection
Thesis aimed at identifying alternative options to the pesticide treatment technique and evaluating possible conversion options for mechanical industries operating in crop protection.
The research will consist of an analysis of market data and will be supported by qualitative interviews with industry experts. The Thesis will be co-supervised with researcher Giuliano Vitali <giuliano.vitali@unibo.it>, in collaboration with a company in the sector.

3) Circular economy for agronomic inputs
Thesis is aimed at identifying alternative opportunities and barriers to the use of biochar in agriculture and evaluating a sustainable business model for its production and distribution.
The research will be supported by farmers’ surveys, also aimed to evaluate products’ attributes, such as soil carbon retention capacity and the fertilization and soil conditioning attributes.
